This team won't be considered great until...

Great teams lose games, sometimes by wide margins, but they rarely fold and to be frank bottle it in big games like we did tonight.

Back to back titles is a pre requisite imo for great teams so we were never gonna attain greatness this season anyway but our dominance to this point had me hoping that this might be a truly special team.

The manner of our defeat tonight leaves us a long way from that

Good post, our eventual title win will have a strange sense of disappointment after tonights weak display.

We need to be getting to CL finals occasionally and Semis regularly to be considered a great team. Back to back domestic titles would be good too.

Not falling to teams with less ability in the games that matter and beating those on a par to win the CL.

If they don’t do that, then they will be seen as not having the bottle and every great team has that. That’s what makes them great.

Tuesday will be when the jury returns about this team’s bottle.

I actually think they will take the tie to extra time at least.

We win the league against United

Take this CL Quarter final to Extra Time

Get 100 points and 100 goals in the Prem

Hope we do, but don't expect it.
.....it wins at fucking Anfield!
If we turn the 2nd leg around, then it will go down in history. At the moment it reads Liverpool 3-0 Manchester City. Great sides don't go down 3-0 on aggregate to hard working but limited sides. So we'll see.

In truth, we're in Guardiola's 2nd season. Already way ahead of where we have a right to expect.

I don't think it will now.

We've strolled through the season beating most of the teams people would expect us to. We've turned it on occasionally and put in some sensational performances.

However, in a big week, a big test, for big honours, we've been found wanting spectacularly. It still hurts, even though we've been spoilt.

We inevitably lose on Tuesday, and after losing against the rags, this team won't be considered great.

I'm sure those with blue tints will disagree but the team lost in the big games when it really mattered.
