If we win 5 and draw 1 we can still get 100 points. Though that won't last, as after losing the tie to Liverpool, we will also lose against Spurs next week as confidence will be at an all time squad low.
All down to not playing the best team against Utd.
If we had won yesterday confidence would be very high going into Tuesday.

Surely some big CL success has to be done in order to it.

United were able to win CL, get to finals in their best years. Chelsea was getting semis, finals and actually won it against the odds with defending displays but they still won it. And gave very hard time to strong teams sometimes when they lost. We can even say we gave hard time to anyone like Real in semis or Barca in knockout rounds.
Even Arsenal were doing semis and a lost final with Wenger.
Fucking Liverpool did two finals winning one 10-12 years ago with a mediocre squad. Now they look to be doing another semi with a much weaker squad than ours.

Its our turn now but it seems so hard for us to really make a big statement in the CL. Hope its going to happen next 3 seasons. I think we have the squad for it. Lesser squads can get to semis sometimes. For me Atletico's semis and finals recently were magical given that their financial strength is nowhere near Real, Barca, Bayern, City, United etc.

Very true. There was talk of us being the best British team of all time a week ago, now nobody believes that. We let ourselves down big time this past week but hopefully we can stuff Liverpool on Tuesday and regain some confidence and momentum. Can’t be feeling sorry for ourselves the lads need to step up.

I agree with you mate, every great manager needs to have that tactical nous to them to shut down the opposition. Pep unfortunately doesn’t seem to be able to defend against the better teams. We get away with it against shit teams because they don’t have the individual players to cause us problems and they just panic every time they touch the ball. Against better attackers we shit the bed.
