I think you, like him, have missed the point.

Football is about much much more than physical size and strength. It's about intelligence, subtly and artistry as well as athleticism. It's the reason Barcelona are reigning champions of Europe while Stoke battle relegation every season.

It's what makes our sport the most watched and most popular in the world.

That clown's comment is a perfect example of the pompous arrogance and ignorance we've all been accustomed to from a lot of Americans.

You soccer apoligists keep saying nfl players cant play soccer, which isnt true because if they were trained to when they were younger then would be amazing. But could soccer players like messi,chicherito, and xavi who are 5'6 and about 130ish play in american football? no. REAL football players like chris johnson, calvin johnson, and dominique rodgers cromartie would be BEASTS if they played soccer at a young age because they have strength, height, and darn it they have speed that would BLOW AWAY any soccer player, period.
