i though 'handball' had to be deliberate?

If that was a Newcastle player doing that tomorrow, I would be screaming for a penalty.
maybe you would, but it really doesn't answer the question now does it?

The modern interpretation of deliberate is any position of the arm that could unnaturally obstruct the path of the ball. That would include both intentional ball-to-hand situations and instances where players have raised their arms in a way that means the ball is likely to be obstructed.

While his arms were up for purely kinesian reasons they were still in an unnatural position for an outfield player.

Whats going with Palace's kit? All their training tops and stuff have Nike on, then their kit has nothing but a sponsor and the badge?
No sponsor on the keeper's shirt either that I could see.
All seems a bit odd.

I had forgotten just how annoying and pathetic that Spurs chant is....when the Spurs go marching in. And they also sing it so slowly which aggravates me even more. I know this may sound daft but I'm getting to the stage where I have to turn the sound down on the TV.

Spurs should be out of sight here.

Lennon / Walker combination working very well.

Defo top 4 this year these.

Are we watching the same match? Lennon has been awful and Walker continued to give away the ball and freekicks as the match went on.

The 3 clear occasions in the first half where Walker played Lennon in down the right channel to send in a cross to a crowded box must have escaped your observant gaze son.

I recall those, actually. I recall the other seven times he was played in, as well.

I recall very clearly that not a single one of those chances lead to anything and were surrounded by quite a lot of bad football by both players (Walker gave away the ball five times and conceded two freekicks in 32 minutes, while not doing much else).

Thank you for complimenting my powers of observation.

-- Sun Aug 18, 2013 2:55 pm --

If my memory serves me don't they use an inhouse kit manufacturer?

Walker finally plays a decent ball (albeit, the Palace defender really should have cut it out).
