Thomas Partey charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault relating to three women

Everyone knew the name of the player that was "accused" years ago so it wasn't the best kept secret.

Arsenal obviously couldn't suspend Thomas Partey as they could potentially have a lawsuit on their hands as we've seen with Benjamin Mendy and City a case which now the club has had to pay out.

I think it's important that it's the word "charged", He hasn't been found guilty so he will get his time in court to prove his innocence.

February 2022!
Fuck me.
Wonder if arsenal will be accused of kicking it down the road?
Haha as if.

So a couple of days after he leaves arsenal it’s no longer an unnamed 31 year old man? Convenient…

Were the DPP waiting for instructions from the PL before charging him.

The cabal hierarchy members do seem to be treated differently from other members of the PL .

Very strange

It is an interesting comparison between Arsenal with Partey, Utd with Greenwood and us with Mendy. Arsenal, who as we know love to sermonise and think they are the club with class, just kept playing him. City and Utd stood them down immediately post arrest. Arsenal will point to the legal case Mendy successfully brought against us as justification, but that was because we stopped paying him, not that we stopped playing him.
My view is that Arsenal are just so desperate to win the league that they played him regardless. They missed out again, and their image will now be forever tainted.

As a further comment from the perspective of an Arsenal fan, he's been investigated since 2022 and we kept playing him and offered him a contract extension. Arteta even spoke about 'everything he's been through'. It's a fucking disgrace and a stain on the club. Even if he's found not guilty (and 9/10 rape cases are dismissed before charge and he wasn't charged when at Arsenal) our club leadership demonstrating zero sensibility for our female fans and just not showing any moral fibre in general is disgraceful behaviour all round.

Now let's ditch the 'Visit Rwanda' bullshit as well.

Given the seriousness of the allegations, it doesn't reflect well on Arsenal that they carried on playing him, they'll have known about the situation through the last 2-3 years.

It’s similar to the Benjamin Mendy scenario. We didn’t make him unavailable until he was charged. He was just injured 99% of his career with us and so not as prominent as Partey.

‘You can’t buy class…’

;)

The media at large have known about it since then, where was their uproar about it ?

Silly me................... redshirt club imunity applies.

There wasn't evidence all over social media prior to Mendy being charged.
Arsenal have been aware for over 2 years about the allegations.
