just interested who on here was on the net arguing about City 15 (or more years ago)?

Whatever happened to EalingBlue???

I think it must have been 15/16 years ago I joined I think BlueView which seemed to become TalkinCity and then Wookierlair. There have also been other manifestations

From the beginning I was a doctor Pangloss optimist - even under Clark I thought things would turn around and one day we'd be back on top winning the league.

So are there any old friend or foes out there? Anyone remember the OIR? The threads about whether we would ever get into European football and whetherwe would ever score again under Pearce?

Happy Christmas everyone.

Yes I was about back then, being based in Australia, it was the only way to keep up with City. I was online when we went down to division 3, and there were loads of us from all around the World, that caught up in a chat room each weekend, for the 1999 play off. I think I was Ozzieblue, and there were some kind fellas over there typing commentary, and we all waited with baited breath for us to score!! Oh how times have changed that I can watch our campaigns live in Brisbane on Foxtel.

I remember coming here as a backpacker in the mid 90's and having results and match reports faxed to me where I worked and having to phone home for scores. The coverage and even more so the Internet changed everything. Now you find out the news at they same time as people living in Beswick do.

Those original Blueview days Typical City, Uwe rizla, tragic, chinnor, PRAC, droylsden, Bry , Tony and many more I can't remember as I was probably always addled when I went on in the evening. Who was the vicar who did the OIR system?

Ten and a half years since I found Bluemoon, a City supporter from the North East recommended it to me
The place was certainly more of a community then rather than the monster it's evolved into. But I suppose that goes with the success of the club

There were a couple of Aussie posters that disappeared
One was True blue aussie (IIRC) and the other was a moderator for a while, but I can't remember his name. He made the journey over and took in the Shalke away game and took a blue blow up kangaroo

Another who had a great sense of humour and went missing was Blue Cop from Devon

That was Wheelsy. I signed up in late '07. Only had dialup before then, plus I didn't know of this place. Been a bit of a rollercoaster ride since then on here. When it's good it's very, VERY good. But when it's bad......! Posters come and go, it happens. But the forum rolls on.
