Three dead in Belgium

Why should we stop Gadaffi? We backed him more often than not and he did bad stuff then - as have other dictators - Saudi Arabia anyone? We let them get involved in unsavoury practises and sell them arms - we could be bombing them.

None of our business - we didn't get involved in Rwandan genocide, Burmese genocides nor did the rest of the world. We pick and choose and get ourselves embroiled in stuff - ill conceived - you are selectively justifying our involvement in some world problems and denying there are ever any consequences. We just have to agree that we disagree on that point.

Sorry but that really is an act of absolute cowardice. You seriously wouldn’t have stopped the deaths of millions of Rwandans or hundreds of thousands of Libyans? Would you have made any effort to stop the holocaust or would you have sat back and done nothing? I honestly find that revolting.

we did nothing to stop the Rwandan genocide - whats your point? What did we do to stop the holocaust? Its documented that what was happening in the death camps was known but the decision was taken to finish the Nazi regime off as we couldn't do anything to stop the death camps. We were already fighting the Nazis and took retrospective action over the death camps.

Why do you consistently avoid questions? Are you just wumming? Would you have let millions of people die in these genocides all across the world?

I am not avoiding answering - the answer is WE DID let them die in Rwanda and in Nazi death camps. Its irrelevant what I would do the damage has already been done. In the case of Rwanda there seems to have been no political will from Europe, America or even African states to stop things and as I say we knew about the Nazi death camps and made a strategic decision to do nothing - not being in possession of the facts that Allied High Command had in terms of what the actions woud have needed or whatever I can't really comment - I'd like to have stopped the death camps - maybe as they started before the outbreak of WW2 that was the time we could have done something?

there - my answer -happy?

What would you have done in each of these cases? How would you have intervened and saved millions?

You’ve avoided the question again.

no I am not - please reread my post and stop obfuscating - I am interested to learn once you have my view how you would propose to have stopped the Rwandan genocide and stopped the Nazi death camps - my answer to reiterate is there was nothing done so we let people die - the correct decision - troops would have been butchered in jungle fighting had we sent them in and bombing would have killed the people you propose to save anyway. As I say Nazi death camps killed what was it 6m + ? WE did nothing before the war and had our hands full when the war was on and for sound reasons the camps were not bombed - so thats my answer millions did die and we had to stand by - what would you have done
a/ in Rwanda
b/ in Nazi germany

Ok so you wouldn’t have done anything in Rwanda and you wouldn’t have done anything in Germany/Poland. Thanks for eventually telling me so it’s a lot easier for me to understand how utterly cowardly you are and why you sympathise with Jihadists. You’re not left-wing whatsoever; your selfish, ‘I’m alright jack’ attitude is as right-wing as they come which is thankfully why people like you and Corbyn will never be prime minister and thankfully why, as a country, we are taught from an early age in schools what a coward Chamberlain was. The Belgian peacekeeping force estimated a few thousand soldiers would have stopped the death of millions of Rwandans so I would happily have provided them soldiers, I would have stopped the massacre in Benghazi and I would have done everything possible to stop the Nazi concentration camps across Europe, including going to war with Nazi Germany even if the war began for other reasons. I’m not the kind of person to walk past when somebody else is in trouble nor do I think our country should be. If that’s the kind of person you are then we will never agree on anything because we have different morals so I will end the ‘debate’ there.

Everything possible to stop the Nazi camps "including going to war with Nazi Germany" thats what we did we went to war with Nazi Germany but it didn't stop a single life being lost until we beat them. 6m at least. So we agree nothing could be done.

Why didn't Belgium send in those few thousand troops into Rwanda then? Because they came to that conclusion after the event with the benefit of hindsight . Human Rights Watch produced a report 5 years after the event saying the failings were those of the UN, the US, Belgium and France. So again not our fight.

Just to add a pesky fact or two the Rwandan genocide was early to mid 1994 - the British Army that was available was deployed and committed to Bosnia from 1992 to 95 so whilst you are ready to commit our lads to a peace keeping mission that is somebody else's they were otherwise engaged on another peace keeping mission trying to prevent genocide in Bosnia.

Please read up on those events before commenting. Not only is your moral compass wrong, pretty much everything you’ve written in that post is factually wrong. You are the worst wummer I’ve seen on here since ‘9/11wasaninsidejob’.

We did go to war with Nazi Germany you agree? What did the UK and then the Allies do to stop the killings in the death camps between say Sept 1939 and March 1945?

Rwanda Genocide - 500k to 1m deaths duration Aprils to July 1994
British troops in Bosnia - Operation Grapple - Oct 1992 to Dec 1995.
I did read up these are the relevant dates - can British troops deal with 2 genocides in 2 places at once.
the Belgian review after the event when challenging critcism said that a few thousand troops would have saved millions - why didn't they commit those troops?
the Human Rights Watch Report of 1995 was titled Let None Tell The Tale and apportioned blame amongst those countries and organisations as I said.

Its all there on line you just have to look. Saying I am wrong doesn't alter the facts. You question my moral compass but I have answered your question but you haven't answered mine - using your superior moral compass how would you have solved the Rwandan genocide and the Nazi death camps I would be interested to learn.
