AT WORK!
Bought tickets for Sunday for me & the lad when they 1st came on sale. But Tues morning wife & eldest daughter were over the moon they could buy them. Purchased 2 over the phone & payed the £5+ for post. Not arrived yet (fri) so she rang the ticket office. Was then put in an 1/2 hour queue. When she got to speak to someone. She was told the tickets had gone missing so they had been cancelled. When she asked how she would get them. She was told she would have to take a copy of the original ref number to the ticket office at wembley. Along with her bank card to pay for them. When asked about payment for post back. She was told she would have to call back next week they were to busy. So if she had not rang & sat in a long queue. She would not have known where her tickets were. Is it any wonder we have not sold out. 1st you can't get them in person. 2nd you have to pay £5+ for post. 3rd you can't trust the clowns at the ticket office to send them out. So anyone else who has not got theirs be worried & get on the phone. A complaint will be going in & it will be above the ticket office managers head. Don't us fans deserve to be treated better. She may only have a access card but so what. She still bought a ticket.

It's alright fella, they're treating you like garbage what-ever level your at.

I'm a platinum and my missus is a blue member, we ordered tickets on Saturday and I literally hounded them until I got a manager to say the words "they're in my hands, and now going in an envelope, they will be there tomorrow"

I have written in to complain, because it's an absoloute nightmare. I will never be buying tickets from the web/phone again I will go an get them in person.

If my complaint doesn't get answered I will cite refuge in a huge letter to Mr Cook, not just about this year but last year aswell.... I wouldn't mind but I didn't have a working seasoncard till September last year.

Why is it I've never ever had a problem when dealing with the ticket office?

Also like people keep saying when you ring up your not ringing MCFC. I think your ringing Ticketline or Seetickets.

Dont complain about the ticket office on here, you will get called for it? I got slagged off for trying to tell people who were going down to renew to take their kids birth certificate down with them as they were checking junior age groups?

The club in unrecognizable compared to what it was just 3 years ago,but unfortunately the ticket office is still the same badly run bag of shite it's always been.
Cannot believe its that difficult to run like the rest of the club is now,it defies belief that it is still an absolute shambles

Do you deal with them much over the phone?
I normally go to the ground and get the tickets in my hand.
Had to get them over the phone this time and apart from paying £2.50 per ticket and £5.45 postage had no problems, phoned on Saturday and tickets arrived on Tuesday.
Guess it is the luck of the draw.

Big mistake by the club with this match, firstly having a new ticket agency dealing with it as its first job and compounded by not allowing fans to purchase at the stadium from the start.

Ticket office staff must post on this site. Surely the only people that would defend our ticket office must work there. I was hoping that the club was going to improve the ground management, but they haven't. They keep banging on about match day experience but the whole outfit is still run by muppets.

I think it's like anything really. I obviously don't work for the ticket office and whilst people do post good stories occasionally, the general scenario is that people with the bad experiences tend to vent their spleen on here. I think the trick is to see what the proportion of bad experiences is compared to those who are completely satisfied.

Having worked for a holiday firm in the past and seeing the odd complaint highlighted on "Watchdog" and the like, where only a few people had bad times compared to hundreds of thousands of happy customers, it's something that gets my goat a little bit because people always jump on the bandwagon and slag the company off when really it's only a tiny minority who are unhappy. Less than 1% generally in my experience, which isn't that bad I don't think.

That said, if it's you who are the victim then it doesn't matter about the others, and I appreciate that.

People complain because they don't get the level of service they expect. City aren't doing you a favour when they give you your tickets. You've paid for them. There's simply no need to compliment the standard service you receive unless they really went above and beyond the call of duty for you.

I hear Stoke fans were able to buy FA Cup Final tickets online yet our support had to queue or phone up for them. Look at how much time they've spent on the website here!!!

We need to do something. Start a thread and ask all people who are dissatisfied with the ticket office to post on it. We need an overhaul and I suggest the fans put forward our plea of 'no confidence' in these people. Granted their have been 2 incidents in the last 12 months were staff have gone above and beyond their duty to help me, but their must be 20+ times I've had nothing but shit from them. It boils your blood. No wonder they have security near by on matchdays as it's not just me they anger.

Come on blues we deserve better so demand it!!!!!

saying that though my favourite with them was last home game stoke i ordered my fella a ticket for it and they never bothered sending it out cause they were to bust sending out fa cup final tickets.

I've never had a problem getting tickets off City. There's one proper face ache working there, and this person has been there a while, but that's my only complaint and this person isn't half as bad as they once were. On two occasions the ticket office has even gone out of their way to do something for me.

However, I have no problem with people complaining when they have been fucked about. Some of the shit I've heard and read about what the ticket office, ticketmaster and now seetickets have done to fans is ridiculous. So that spells out straight away that there's an inconsistency with it all. And I'm not sorry to say that inconsistency is unacceptable (and this coming from someone who is extremely satisfied with the personal service I has received over the years!).

I sympathise with you, hope things are sorted!

must just be luck of the draw who you deal with, ive heard loads of bad stories and plenty of good, but i must say ive never had a bad experience and dealt with the ticket office for many a year.

Same here until this week, applied for 2 with our season tickets, they arrive a week later, no problem. Next I applied for a ticket when they first went on open sale. Two days ago I recieved a letter from the club thanking me for making them aware that my ticket hadn`t arrived, an that lost tickets had barcodes deactivated. The replacement can be picked up from wembley. I didn`t contact the club and secondly the ticket arrived the day after. What a farce.

I don't think it's actually the City ticket office you are dealing with when you ring, it's the agency they outsource it to. Our own ticket office is miles better than it was but the agency is the one causing the problems.

This farce over CS tickets is completely inexcusable and the club should make a statement and repudiate their contract.

In my experince, the best way to get tickets is to go the box office in person. The staff are usually very helpful, some even go out of the way in helping. We have had farcical conditions since the play-off final.
The biggest cock-up is not being able to get tickets from the box office, they've had weeks to sort this out.
