Any suggestions whether over the counter or old wives tales that actually work ?
me and the missus both struggling after having covid over Xmas , both fine and back in work but just can’t shift that annoying tickle at the back of our throats and the amount of coughing I’m doing is giving me headache.
Most joy I’ve had so far is head over a pan of boiling water, thanks in advance for any suggestions

Test again for omicrom , from my experience of alpha the cough can last a year or so , probably the average is much less but it could be months , suck strepsils or the supermarket own brands for the tickle

For a short term relief:

Water always helps.
A couple painkillers every few hours.
A very, very light amount of exercise could open up the airways (like a few pushups)

Dark chocolate is effective and there’s evidence to say pineapple juice can help. Give it a Google.

A combination of hot Vimto and Night Nurse cures any illness

They should have mixed them into the covid jab to save all this messing around
