anyone think they timed this announcement so that tomorrows papers won't carry stories about it or at least will be overshadowed by the leaders debate aftermath

Do you reckon our season ticket prices would have made the front page of the nationals then? As i presume this is what you're on about bearing in mind the title/content are vague?

What is there the papers would need to talk about? I presume you're referring to the season ticket announcement?
I've not read articles about other clubs plans for next season regarding season tickets, so why would anyone want to talk about our plans?

they always do put them in

hahaha!

Not sure what the OP is on about DD, its like the season ticket hike is being looked at as some kind of scandal. All I know is that if I was a fan of another club and my blue mate said, 'we've had a 6% rise in season tickets', i'd say, 'oh', followed by, 'what did you think would happen, that you'd see £150k a week footballers for the equivalent of Pearce-esque season ticket prices?'. I'm struggling to see the beef with this hike in prices to be honest, and there's too much, waaaay to much being made of it. Overshaddowed by the leaders debate?!

You've got to laugh DD. I personally can never remember our season ticket prices making the front page of the MEN never mind the nationals. In fact i can never remember them making the sports pages of the nationals apart from the odd paragraph every now and then.

It's genuinely shocking to me that this is the wierd, warped, misshaped world we live in on Bluemoon.

That post is as amazing to me as the guy who suggested, to quell the Mourinho speculation, that someone brought it up at the Fans Forum.

Unless I've bene Clarkied, of course...

This conspiracy theory is up there with the best of them. I did have to read it several times before i twigged.

Was it Garry Cook on the grassy knoll near to Mary D's?

Let them laugh coulsonblue. I can tell you it was also cleverly timed to sneak out after all the airports re-opened.

It looks like the tactic has failed, unfortunately.

I've just had a call from Jeremy Vine at the BBC. They want to hold a live TV debate, The Cabal v The Flat Earth Society, on Friday at 8pm.

Obiously the topic for discussion is the 6% season ticket price increase.

The BBC are more interested in the forced evictions from the North Stand. Apparently the refugees will be setting up a camp in the Gasworks Strip and the club will be building a security fence to deny them access to the catering outlets and the shop. There's every chance the UN could get involved. Cue a load of biased reporting about how the club are acting as bully boys and denying the Northstandians their basic human rights.

What "forced evictions?" This is the first I've heard about this.

You can tell it is indeed a good day to bury bad news.

If Vicky Kloss is not careful she's going to become our Jo Moore.
