Title Race 2020/21

Right, so when they do fall below second place are you gonna post comments about how you were wrong that the PL has fixed everything?

Or are you just going to move on to the next conspiracy.

These posts are so fucking tiring. Everything is a conspiracy, everything is corrupt, we'll never be allowed to win anything (apart from the 4 titles we've already won this decade, which we were allowed to win for...reasons)
hey i will post if i am wrong, but do you honestly think there is no corruption in the premier league ?

Because their current points average gets them to 78 points over the course of the season. If the winner of this title doesn’t even have to get to 80 points, it brings a shitload of teams into the equation. Liverpool and City have dropped off massively, if either/both were anything like the levels they were, United would still be nothing more than an also-ran.

that was my fear at the start of the season ? the title point total will be low this season and i knew it would bring in 4 or 5 more clubs into the race ? but united was not in my thoughts ?? just not good enough and the defence all over the place ? even roy keane was driving home a empty coach after a game

the pen shout is shocking and do they ever get turned down ? you now have to score 2 goal before kick off vs united
VAR and the officials are at it big time. the tesco line (every little helps) bloody hell they are shop lifting to the title

simply because its corrupt, where their is money their is corruption especialy such as the prem where its a closed shop 'they make their own laws regarding certain things', it dosent realy matter if united win this or not it will always be classed as the covid cup but what does trouble me is that united will use it as a platfoem to make that step up,which they couldnt have done when they were mid table fodder

but a title winning side has to have quality in the team ? hold on a minute liverpool won it last season

Feeling more confident by the day, United will start to flounder even with soft reffing and dippers looking very average especially away from home.
Dippers must be the only team that doesn't improve with rest, I think we play better when we play every couple of days especially if we are on a roll.

They have had two back to back home games, one with a stuffy last minute winner and another with a questionable penalty so a decent Christmas period for them. They haven’t beaten anyone of note, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and us have all left Old Trafford with points, if you want desires on winning the league you need to be putting away the so called big 6 teams home and away. Going to these big six teams away in the business end of the season makes them vulnerable as well.

They have seemed to start stringing wins together when they don’t have European football. Once they start to rotate they are not as strong, does the paperboy do a Klopp and get knocked out of all competitions to go full tilt at the league as having to play Thursday then Sunday will certainly derail them.

lets hope so

but you get the feeling they don't have to play well to win

Never a penalty, how the hell VAR didn't overturn that I don't know. Rags are certainly riding their luck at the moment, deflected winner against Wolves and the non penalty last night.

Offensively they are very strong, but defensively they are average and hopefully by the end of the season they will come unstuck.

Even if City got back to their scintillating best it would unfortunately all be in vain.
Football died 2 years ago after one of the most exciting title chases ever, one where we come out on top.
The bigwigs who run football gained little profit out of our win. So much so that with the help of their "implementation" of VAR they don't have sit back and "suffer" anymore watching teams like City when titles on football alone.
No now they can create title contenders out of nowhere, get teams they want into Europe and even decide the relegation fate of the "poor" i.e. sheff utd 'no goal v Villa, thus helping Villa survive and sending "poor Bournemouth" down.
Quite simply put Premier league football is corrupt and getting away with it is being made easier and easier in a society where you are not aloud to say "boo to a goose".
They are not questioned about it so there is no need for them to answer about it.
" I know how important football is to the country and we are proud to have it on peoples TVs for them" stated health secretary Matt Hancock.
This statement alone makes me think, quell the masses, feed them what they want through football and their respective teams.
Its just unfortunate for the rest of us that the "masses" in this case are the RAGS and the DIPPERS
Excellent post

Spurs are definitely in contention for the title.

2nd best defence in the league, only conceded 3 more goals than us despite playing two more games. They've got two world class forwards as well which helps.

Really hard to call this season.

We went all defensive against WHU, could not beat WBA, lost meekly to Maureen's Spuds and did not attack Rags because Pep was fearful of counter-attacks.

Corruption was always there and lucky breaks the other teams have been getting they enjoyed earlier too when we got the titles. If the current position in the table is to be blamed on that then that excuse will never allow the team to challenge for the title.
