This is just a small insight into our history, sure its not as glorious and Uniteds or Liverpools but its OURS, its what defines our club today.

You should be proud of our history!

and thats history is about, moments that are special. Its not all about trophies

Special Moments.
Days out with your mates and then with your Son's/Daughter's. most the time the football was irrelevent we went because we always go. its keeps mates together a bond to chat about over a drink.

May i just add. The FA Cup win in 1904
Manchester City Became the First Manchester side to win a major trophy.

standing next to Curly Watts as we got tonked at york away, just about surviving the walk back to the car at stoke away when we got relegated, my big brother getting knocked out for his scarf by sunderland fans about 35 years ago when I was ten walking back from maine rd when they used to all trundle several miles to their coaches..... it's all part of the history - good, bad and indifferent but it's all there and it's why we love it!

Oh , first English club to win a European and domestic double , the last team to win the championship with an ALL ENGLISH eleven

...and the first English club to win the Gamper trophy ;)

When I started supporting City (1970's), our trophy haul was on a par with just about anybody. Sure Liverpool, the rags, Villa and Everton were well ahead of us in terms of league titles but, on every other front, against any club, we could hold our stats up with pride.
We've had a bad run (yeah, I know... I am a jinx - ask my missus!) but that's all. Our turn will come. If not with the good Sheik (though, I think it will be), then with somebody else.

Nothing exposes a glory hunting, johnny-come-lately like that phrase about having no history.
Anybody who uses it has more interest in tin pot bragging rights than history.
We've won more cups than Notts County - does that mean we have more history than th oldest club in the league?

Do me a favour...

I dont think anyone is saying we dont have any history. The point that was being made was that 50% of our supporters havent witnessed any being made. I for one think they deserve it, having followed us through the dark days.
I witnessed the glory years the first time and I cant wait for the next trophy.

city won the fa cup, league cup & a european trophy before liverpool ever did.

city won the league title, fa cup & a european trophy before chelsea ever did.

city won the fa cup & league cup before arsenal ever did and a european trophy the same season arsenal did.

city won the fa cup & league cup before the rags ever did.

how's that for no history?
