Torrential rain in Hong Kong, not stopped for ages. Not a big problem for
us, but we need to play Saturday for sure.

Spuds v sunderland not started yet. The middle of the pitch looks saturated.
Discussions still taking place about whether to start the game.
The rain is still pouring down.
I've not seen anyone on the pitch trying to roll the ball.

game now kicking off at 11.30.
2 halves of 40 minutes.
I can't see the pitch being any good for our type of football.

Does nobody else miss the days when we played a few local pre-season games?

Yes, then it was much easier to ignore them. Watching a pre season friendly is as much fun as drinking non alcoholic beer. Unfortunately if City are on the telly you feel obliged to watch them.

Who could possibly have envisioned conditions getting a bit too wet during Hong Kong's monsoon season.

Rain has seemingly moved on and Spurs/Mackems about to get under way.
