Todays Pitch Invasion. City v Swansea

Part of our culture was kicking fuck out of Leeds up dog shit alley but sadly its not the done thing now, smoking in the stands, being able to call the referee a bent **** without some fucking middle class twat being offended because he has brought his Mrs and little Tarquin to watch the footy. Being able to sing "get your tits out for the lads every time a woman copper walked passed the Kippax and by the way they usually laughed thier tits off when that song started...

All the above confined to the dark ages in these abject days of sanitised football stadiums.

The pitch invasion will I am afraid have to join these things in being nothing more than memories of an all together dark time when we were not so enlightened or to put it bluntly it stands a very good chance of coming back and biting the club in the arse....

What ridiculous comparisons. Comparing the pitch invasions against West Ham and QPR to hooligans from the 70s. They were both joyous occasions and in no way confined to the dark ages. How you can even compare the two is frankly stupid.

Why treat it like it's something you have to do, as if it's expected or your "boring" if you don't do it? It's not at all "part of our culture" I'm not having that excuse, it's just something that happens spontaneously at a lot of clubs that aren't used to winning things, no point trying to make out like it's a unique City thing. If you want to do it fair enough as I said though it will probably be something which changes naturally, once it starts feeling like it's forced rather than spontaneous people will just stop doing it.

You can do whateve you want mate. Sit down, invade the pitch, whatever happens I'm sure it will be good,
We've invaded the pitch every single time we've won something or been promoted so I'd say it's very much part of our culture.

I don't think a pitch invasion is ever really forced either. I don't understand the idea either that we have to behave like other 'big' clubs fans and if we don't it's small time. If enough city fans want to run on the pitch then that's good enough for me. Every other time has been amazing and hasn't taken away from the title celebrations - players got plenty of time to celebrate.

No point in going round in circles here, so fair enough if you disagree

Birmingham and Blackburn were both 2000 mate.
In 2002, we clinched promotion without actually playing, because Wolves lost their game on the Friday evening. That's why there wasn't a pitch invasion, even though we still had to play Barnsley and Forest at Maine Road.
There's probably a bigger chance of a similar anti climatic finale this season, especially with City, United, and Liverpool rarely playing on the same day.

There was a pitch invasion when we beat Wigan at home in the play off semi in 99.

Its not me is it? Its the powers that be and it is against the law to go on the pitch or am I wrong?

Why do you keep banging on about this? What do you think will happen to the club? Nothing. Nothing happened after the qpr pitch invasion. Such a strange hang up.

If we win it against the rags i will find a way to get on the pitch from 323. Might bring a parachute just in case.
