Tokyo 2020 Olympics/Paralympics

That doesn't sound right.
A world cup football team must be a single country.
Its not like rugby where e.g. Northern Ireland and the Republic join as one team or where in the Olympics a combined GB team competes.
@tshirtman was right, the Scottish, Welsh and Irish FA's block it as they fear their independence. I don't think we've ever had word from FIFA on what they would do should we compete regularly as one, and why they can agree for the women and not the men is odd, seeing as neither were sent last time. Politics eh?

Doesn't bother me as football shouldn't be part of the Olympics in my opinion. 5 a side maybe, but not 11 a side.

I've enjoyed this women's football match. Does anyone know: why don't GB men have a team - they did in 2012 (not sure about 2016). I noticed Richarlison played for Brazil vs Germany the other day - scored 3 in half-an-hour - so it can't just be too much football, as he played in the Copa-America thing too.
Happened in London 2012 because the games were based in Britain as a one-off, but otherwise never. I think the Scottish and Welsh FAs have brought up that FIFA said that they would lose their FIFA status as sides if we all went into one Great Britain team for the Olympics, but FIFA have never said anything of the sort and I think they mentioned around London 2012 that it could continue and have no effect on FIFA/UEFA tournaments.

I’d like to see it! As I’ve said many times, when we open our passports on the page with our photo it says “NATIONALITY: BRITISH”, we aren’t English Scottish or Welsh.

I wouldn’t mind a Great Britain tour every four Summers down to South America to play a test series against Argentina and Brazil alternately. The players would love that (I know I would if I was a player)! And it could be a huge boost for Arg+Bra football because it’s needed. I think Europe is starting to leave South America behind.

Year 1: World Cup as individual nations
Year 2: Great Britain tour
Year 3: Euros as individual nations
Year 4: Olympics as Great Britain

Incredible performance in the women's road cycling.
She was amazing Kiesenhofer. I was willing her not to fall off or have a mechanical problem. Never been that interested in the road race cycling before, find it a bit boring, but was glued to the screen for that one! Such an outsider from what the commentators were saying as well. Brilliant.

Nice idea but will never happen the way politics is now and with more devolution votes on the cards. Also Euros and Olympics are the same 4 year cycle.
