Kroos is class. Would have him over pog personally.
They have to buy one more mate. I suspect they already know who it is.
No because any enquiries for the best players at the biggest clubs would get nowhere. Utd spent last Summer chasing Ramos and he was in open dispute with his club. There isn't even a chink of light, so the intrigue is waste of time.Personally I think some of the stuff written about kroos is insane.
We're buying (trying) all things considered (age,, success, ability) the world's best passing midfielder for the world's best possession manager.
Is that not something to get excited about?

Well they had the money. They spent loads. But did they ??
The lemmings would obviously bite at such stories but is there any evidence to support the claim ?
I have my doubts
Personally I think fernandinho, kroos, gundogan would make an incredible 3 in the middle. These days we seem to go down the route of purchasing players who create zero negative headlines off the field since Balotelli/Tevez... For me I think we are all out for Kroos, fits the bill perfectly probably the best passer of a football in the whole of Europe, calm collected and experienced head on him while only being relatively young.
Who cares about pace? You don't need it when you have the attributes he has, did Xavi need blistering pace? Absolutely not yet he was the best central midfielder of his generation because he had the knowledge upstairs and the ability with his feet just like Kroos. Also are people forgetting not so long back he came over to the etihad and bossed the central midfield all night long? We couldn't get near him and modric that night they made it look effortless.
If we manage to sign him and get him lined up next to Gundogan then God help whoever plays us. Don't get me wrong I'm a massive fan of Fernandinho and full believe he has a big part to play for us in the coming season but let's face it, our club and our fans want us to win the champions league and as it stands we have been painfully short up till now but the likes of Gundogan and possibly Kroos elevate us a level above that the likes of Fernandinho do.

Sounds insane but I almost feel like we could be playing 3-3-1-3.

Well, quite.Anyone who has followed Bayern in the last 3 years knows Pep loves 3-3-3-1, it's not "insane" at all.
Totally agree. I mentioned a week or so ago, that those 3 really seem to compliment one another, with each one of them able to offer something different. Between the 3 of them, there isn't a weakness.
If we did play 3-3-1-3 we'd have possibly the best goal scoring midfielder in the world in front of them plus sane, Sterling, Aguero.Yeah there is, there's some glaring weaknesses - None of them are ball carriers, none of them will dribble with the ball and inject some momentum, and none of them are goalscorers.
The best midfields, like Pep's Barcelona, have a midfielder who will take people on as well as arriving late in the box to grab goals, on top of just controlling play and retain possession.
Iniesta would get 10 goals a season for Pep at Barcelona, and so would Xavi.
At Bayern, Schweinsteiger and Vidal got goals from the midfield.
Kroos-Fernandinho-Gundogan wouldn't get 10 between them, and that would put a huge amount of pressure on the front 3 to deliver.
If you are playing a 3 man midfield, one of them needs to contribute in front of goal.
I'd have taken Kroos before we signed Gundogan, but there's a lot of overlap in their style of play. Now, I'd take Pogba over Kroos every single day. He provides goals and will take players on if things get static.

By contrast if we had pogba over kroos how do you see kdb and pogba and silva fitting together? We won't play 3331 regularly though.
There's much truth in your post, but Gundogan don't just pass the ball around like Kroos.Yeah there is, there's some glaring weaknesses - None of them are ball carriers, none of them will dribble with the ball and inject some momentum, and none of them are goalscorers.

Sorry to go a bit off topic but if he does play something like 3331 with for example Kroos, Gundogun and Fernandinho, who the fuck does the defending on the flanks? What has happened at Bayern when he plays that formation in terms of full back type duties?Anyone who has followed Bayern in the last 3 years knows Pep loves 3-3-3-1, it's not "insane" at all.

You press from the front and ensure that the opposition don't get the opportunity to counter you.
Oh Jesus. I thought as much. :)Defending? Where we're going we don't need defending
