TV viewers will be able to tune into the new BT Sport channels for free when they launch at 6pm tonight (Thursday August 1st 2013).
BT is opening up its subscription sport service to all Freeview and Sky TV viewers for the first day, allowing them to get a taste of the action.
For one day only, BT Sport will be available on Freeview channel 57, enabling viewers to enjoy the launch show from the broadcaster's new studio in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Sky customers will also be able to tune in on Sky Guide channel 413, even if they have not signed up to BT Sport.
The channels will be free-to-air from 6pm on August 1st to 12.45am on August 2nd.
BT customers can also tune in for free through BT TV with Infinity, via the BT Sport app or using the firm's online player.
The action starts on BT Sport tonight with a special live show featuring most of the channels' new presenters, experts, commentators and special guests.
These include Jake Humphrey, Clare Balding, Craig Doyle, Michael Owen, Matt Dawson, Anne Keothavong, Ray Stubbs, Austin Healey and Helen Skelton.
BT says the live show will give viewers "a taste of what is to come from BT Sport", and will feature live links from across the UK.
The show will air simultaneously on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 2, until the moment the two channels become independent.
At this point, viewers will see Jake Humphrey head to the football studio to cover the Audi Cup on BT Sport 1.
And Craig Doyle will move to the BT Sport rugby studio to cover the JP Morgan Asset Management 7s on BT Sport 2.
From tomorrow (Friday August 2nd), TV viewers will be required to subscribe for BT Sport, unless they have a BT broadband connection and are entitled to free access
