cracking info !! but how sad that the OP felt the need to apologise in case he got the titanic treatment ,
makes me wonder how many good posts we miss for fear of this!
 
Anyone with Virgin just flick your telly to freeview. Unless its ancient it will have built in freeview because of the switch to digital

Is your virgin media plugged in on a HDMI cable? Not sure what telly you have but mine has a "source" button which means I can flick between DTV (Freeview) HDMI1 (SKY) and HDMI2(Xbox)
