Probably, but he would have wanted to ruthlessly beat down any idea that they weren't still top dogs and that he wasn't anything other that master of the situation and his own destiny. Maybe Moyes is scared of what the message will be if he tries that and fails?

Liverpool are full strength, United are maybe half-strength... I hope Liverpool massacre them.
