Just watched the Stoke City game again last night, and all he did was slag off our black players.
Not once did he mention the game passing Milner by, not once did he mention Silva being as good as he was against Fulham,
Not once did he mention Kolarov being out of position,
Not once did he mention Barry being as slow as a cart horse,
Not once did he have a go at Tevez for not scoring,
Joe Hart did take some stick from the throw ins, but apart from that every black player City had on the pitch was citicised at least once by this prick. Toure, Kompany and Balotelli the 3 in particular recieving most of the abuse and bile that was spouted

I know people say there is no racism in football anymore, or not in the English game anyway, but i remember Big Ron running his mouth off about Vieira.

Tell me i'm imagining this.

I couldnt believe how dumb this guy was.

I think it was him, about half way through the game, he said to the other commentator something about Kolo Toure playing poorly because he was out of position at CH because he is usually a midfielder!!?!????

he knows nothing.

Not sure about him being racist but am certain that he is a tosser of the highest order so probably.

I think a lot of the criticism towards our club is motivated by racism/xenophobia. Though normally because of the owners (yeah, I know foreign ownership is the norm for PL clubs, but ours make the biggest splash and are the only of the challenging lot to be non-white). Much more than people realise. I'd say it's 55% down to the owners being Arabs, 30% to the fact most journos are Sky Four fans of one type or another, 25% down to some weird English culture of spending a lot of money being somehow 'vulgar' and attitudes towards knowing your place and social class being mirrored, consciously or subconsciously, in football.

this is a guy who when west ham were looking for a manager, who said glen roader gets my vote he,s the man for the job, then when it went tits up said i cannot understand why they give roader the job? but what really makes me puke every morning is the sicklie shithouse trying to flirt with that blond piece on sky, comimg out the most useless chat up lines that you wouldn,t use in the ritz? tosser of the highest order?

Well I watched the match and as much as I hate Gale, there is no way he was being racist.

Crying racism at the slightest thing is a slippery slope and this country is far worse off for it. Please don't.

When it comes to something as important to people as their club though, it's understandable that many people will think, within fairly obvious limits of sanity and reason - that the end justifies the means.

Creating a culture where members of the press think twice about criticising the club because it becomes associated with the stain of xenophobia/racism might be against the spirit of free speech, a bit Orwellian and blah blah blah, but if it is injurious to those meedja pricks that regularly slag off City, and benefits us in terms of not having to hear it - and what's more maybe benefits our team by not having the distraction, could it not be considered fair game?

To play devil's advocate, you play the cards your dealt and use what's in your arsenal to get ahead. Playing the race card a bit is hardly beheading children, and frankly, one of the most important factors for me....in my personal opinion, there is a healthy dose of truth to it anyway.
