Leaving out all the countries to which I've been posted, I realise that I've hardly done any voluntary travelling.

The three would have to be:

France
Germany
Malta (not even been there yet, but must rate higher than Egypt, in which I once spent a day)

Thailand - Travelled all around this country, spending a good few months here.The people were amazing, the culture is right up my street and it was cheap as chips.

Spain - Been all over Spain over the years. from chavvy package holidays in Benidorm, to backpacking cycling trips, to crazy sessions in Magaluf. helps that my Dad has a place over in Malaga as well.

Holland - again, the culture is right up my street. love the cycling access here too. found the public transport to be superb, and a lot of dedicated green land.

Apart from the home nations I've only ever been to Ireland, and that consisted of a short stop at Dublin airport to change flights to Chicago.

Scotland suited me. Offered brown within two minutes despite being an English bastard. A very hospitable country.

Greece. Just a great place, great climate and fantastic food.
