edit* These are the top grossing films of all time link>> <a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_films" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hi ... sing_films</a>

Top films by box office I take it as they are no where near the "top films" by rating or actually being any good.

I've seen 28 of those 30.

so every Lord of the rings and Harry Potters are in the top 30 ?! surely thats a joke.

Ive watched 12 of them

Who voted for these ? Cbeebies ?

No Godfather or Reservoir Dogs but Shrek 2 and Jurassic Park.
As I say, it can only be box office.

<a class="postlink" href="http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/adjusted.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/adjusted.htm</a>

Still doesn't count though

Actually that looks wrong 2 so fuck box office takings in the ear

That list is made from cinema takings that haven't even been readjusted for inflation and is wrong

Edit

Finding Nemo

i agree about the inflation bullshit becasue titanic would easily have grossed more than avatar if it was out now.

List 1 = 7, 10 and 20

List 2 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 30

All except numbers 6 & 19.

My taste in film is far from refined. I prefer to be entertained rather than challenged by what I watch at the cinema. Add into the mix a son who has grown up with Harry Potter and you have a perfect storm of low brow-high budget films on my cinema watching résumé.

Edit just seen list 2: seen all except 9,13,18,22 and 24. Of those the only one I want to see but haven't got round to yet is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

8 Toy Story 3

11 Alice in Wonderland

16 The Lion King

20 Shrek 2

21 Jurassic Park

24 Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

27 Finding Nemo

30 Inception

Just the 9 for me. What a sheltered life i lead

I've seen 6 and of those 6 I reckon only Inception and Toy Story 3 were any good. There are also very few on there that I haven't seen that I would want to.

You should watch them mate, decent films. I'm not a hobbit fiddler by any stretch and I found them mildly entertaining.

I've seen the first one and didn't like it, I've seen snippets of the others recently on TV and it's just not my thing.

I'm hoping to go back and re watch some classics over the next few weeks as well as maybe a few I've missed. I watched Reservoir Dogs the other night for the first time in ages and really enjoyed it.
