Top 4 Race 2020/21

No.
Top 4 go in for England.
CL winners go in, into pot 1.
EL winners go in, into pot 1.

If that somehow gets to 6 from a country ( both CL and EL winners finishing outside top4), then 4th in the league misses out.

It's irrelevant though as Utd will finish in the top 4.
Well explained

There is, just read up, if Utd win then it’s the team finishing 3rd in the French league who will go straight into the CL group stage (as Utd are already qualified)

I suspect people misinterpreted your post to read in relation to England.

You are correct that the extra group spot goes to France 3rd place.

Very well explained but why don't people know this.
Are they the same crew that think Delap should start in the Champions league final?
Must admit, I thought there could be 6 teams if both CL & EL winners finished outside top 4. Didn’t realise it was capped at 5.
Don’t you think Delap should be starting? ;)

Ah gotcha. I misinterpreted you’re previous post fella.

To follow up on what you’ve just posted, I’m guessing that would mean one less team in qualifiers, so does somebody get a bye? Or does another team from a lower ranked country go into the qualifiers?

Similar applies to countries with fewer automatic group places - a maximum of +1 place.

See the Wikipedia link. It's... complicated.
