Of course they do.If Chelsea miss out in top 4, it will give them an even bigger incentive to win CL
The winners get automatic qualification no matter where they end up in their own league.

Well explainedNo.
Top 4 go in for England.
CL winners go in, into pot 1.
EL winners go in, into pot 1.
If that somehow gets to 6 from a country ( both CL and EL winners finishing outside top4), then 4th in the league misses out.
It's irrelevant though as Utd will finish in the top 4.
Very well explained but why don't people know this.Well explained
There is, just read up, if Utd win then it’s the team finishing 3rd in the French league who will go straight into the CL group stage (as Utd are already qualified)There is no extra spot

Must admit, I thought there could be 6 teams if both CL & EL winners finished outside top 4. Didn’t realise it was capped at 5.Very well explained but why don't people know this.
Are they the same crew that think Delap should start in the Champions league final?
Ah gotcha. I misinterpreted you’re previous post fella. There is, just read up, if Utd win then it’s the team finishing 3rd in the French league who will go straight into the CL group stage (as Utd are already qualified)

Don’t you think Delap should be starting? ;)
You’re on fire tonight mate. Excellent knowledgeSimilar applies to countries with fewer automatic group places - a maximum of +1 place.

To follow up on what you’ve just posted, I’m guessing that would mean one less team in qualifiers, so does somebody get a bye? Or does another team from a lower ranked country go into the qualifiers?
