Top 4 Race 2020/21

Really need Burnley to get something from Liverpool tonight if there's any chance of them missing out. After what happened against West Brom though, I shan't be watching.

Good season overall, 2nd consecutive top 6 finish and the Fa Cup,for, the 1st time in our history, slightly soured by missing out on top 4 obviously, assuming it happens of course, but as Burnley are safe, seems unlikely Liverpool will drop points there.

Finish your season off proper, spank Chelsea in the CL final.

Leicester have a really tough run in. The refs will be briefed. I expect the rags, Chelsea and Liverpool to be first, second and third losers. There’ll be money to be made by backing doubles of a Liverpool win and laying Leicester.

I hope some of you felt the same way as me back in mid March. Thanks to some bent officiating, my bets for Leicester to miss out and Liverpool to be helped to fourth are going to pay for a trip to Porto ;-)

I’m gonna lay some of the winnings against Liverpool now, just in case the Big Man has seen enough cheating and intervenes. Come on, Burnley!

We needed Liverpool to drop points in one of their last 2 games anyway so it didn't really matter who won that although this result means Liverpool could still be 5th going into the last game if they only beat Burnley by 1 goal so its arguably the best result. How good would it be if Roy hodgson was to kill liverpools hopes on the last day in his last game after the shit he got from that mob. Please!
Liverpool are 4th with any win v Burnley, they have the better goal difference. Liverpool just have to win their games and they are 4th, unless Leicester beat Spurs by at least 3 goals, but realistically a win by 5 or 6 goals would be needed. Liverpool have it in the bag now. Burnley shipped 4 at home to Leeds, they are going to get trounced as they are on the beach.

Burnley will perhaps be a different animal with fans back

Liverpool 69% win
Burnley having fans back (and fans not wanting to see them ship another 4 goals) is my only vague hope.

Watch them lose 2-1 to Burnley and then us get spanked by Spurs on Sunday :)

I was thinking today that letting fans into these final matches seems, well, a bit unfair. Was it really necessary - why not just wait till season 2021-22?

For example, last night I was really hoping Leicester would beat Chelsea - well it was a dilemma actually, as I don't really want Chelsea out of the top 4 on the 29th as it might give them extra motivation in Portugal - but leaving that aside, it was stated after the match that Chelsea having 8000 fans (& no Leicester fans) gave them a boost. Surely, if no fans were allowed in the Leicester v Chelsea game earlier in the season the same should have applied last night...

Seems wrong to suddenly allow fans back in for these final fixtures when so much is at stake: Champions League qualification. If the fixture computer had put Chelsea v Leicester on during lockdown and Leicester v Chelsea last night, maybe there would have been a different outcome.

P.S. I didn't object to it at the FA CUP final because both sides had an equal number of fans and at neutral venue.
