Yeah they haven’t yet dropped a point to a team outside the top 6 so their form needs to change. Hopefully a combination of pressure and fatigue will do that. In contrast, we have dropped eight points so we need to remedy that.

The same way we lost at Leicester and at home to Palace, they could easily lose a random game at home or away. The FA Cup and CL add more games. They got through December well but that squad is still under pressure and things do not get easier. Despite their incredible run and performances they are only 4pts ahead and most teams will want to stop them winning the title. It becomes hugely difficult to cope with the pressure and keep winning in the second half of the season.

Make the league cup final and we will also have a game in hand on them which could help us knock their confidence and gain more comparisons to the slippy G season they won the league.

They will get 93pts I think. Our February looks incredibly tough but if De Bruyne stays fit his leadership and drive on the pitch will make a huge difference to us. The whole squad will get a lift.

They really should have against Everton but for an unbelievably freakish goal in the last few seconds.

PL pens awarded, has a big effect, and is open to referee influence

The more this becomes a story the better. Refs will start assuming Salah dives everytime if this continues. At least I hope they do.

Well as virtually every fan in the country know he’s a diver it’s highly likely the refs do to.

Another one today, and one not given for a handball in the area by van dick. Apparently these things even themselves out

    City - played 7, points 16 (2.29 per game)
    Liverpool - played 7, points 12 (1.71)
    Chelsea - played 6, points 8 (1.33)
    Spurs - played 6, points 6 (1.00)
    Arsenal - played 8, points 8 (1.00)
    Rags - played 6, points 5 (0.83)

We are the best of that bunch without a doubt, pity we have cocked up against the lesser lights - Palace. Leicester and Newcastle all after taking the lead.

We should have won those three matches and would now be 7 points ahead, and that is without the missed penalty at Candle Stick Park.

The Rags might improve with their current form but Spurs and Arsenal just don't seem to be able to cut it against the better teams.

Fun fact: number of teams scoring fewer PL pens than City this season:

Just one ... doomed bottom of the league Huddersfield have scored 0 to our 1.
