I know Spurs have to play Chelsea, United, Arsenal and ourselves to play but can anybody see past them given how crap we were last night?

Aston Villa drawing with Sunderland would suggest they're going to tail off pretty much as expected towards the crucial point of the season. Liverpool? Not too sure, I can't see them claiming fourth personally. Haven't they still got to play Chelsea?

I'm going to be dissapointed if we don't claim fourth given the amount of opportunities we've had to make it our own personally. I think it really halt the clubs process in terms of type of players we could attract and progression on the pitch aswell as off it.

Thoughts and feelings most appreciated but morale and confidence within the team has sunk to an all-time low.

Last night was an off night for some reason but I believe in this:-

We will Beat: Wigan, Burnley, Birmingham, Man United, Tottenham & West Ham
We will draw: Against Villa & Arsenal

That gives us 20 points which should be enough.

However concerns are plenty, the main ones for me being the lack of chances being created last night & during the latter part of the Fulham game & the fact that we must have one of the slowest or the slowest midfield's in the premiership.

Before the season started I would have been happy with 5th or 6th and Europa Cup next season!

The way the seaon has panned out I think this season is the best chance ever we have had to finish 4th or I even thought higher and I will bereally gutted if we dont get 4th!

If we dont get it this season I think next year will be harder than ever.

Im a fan and still think we can do it it just seems sometimes we look so fragile mentally and physically!!

What do you mean by 'morale and confidence within the team has sunk to an all-time low'?

I'm sure we've just beaten Fulham and we are 5th in the league?

We've lost our first game at home and now suddenly the club/team is in meltdown.

We will get 4th I think, we just need to finish out chances which we didn't do last night.

We have an easier run in than Spurs who I see as our biggest threat for 4th spot and we still have to play Villa and Spurs at home.

I am hoping that the Ade/Tev combo will win us that 4th spot. But if we need to win against Spurs then I will fear the worst.

Tottenham....... Portsmouth(h), Sunderland(a), Arsenal(h), Chelsea(h), Man Utd(a), Bolton(h), Man City(a), Burnley(a) = 55 + 4 wins + 1 draw = 68 points
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man City ....... Wigan(h), Burnley(a), Birmingham(h), Man Utd(h), Arsenal(a), Aston Villa(h), Tottenham(h), West Ham(a) = 53 + 4 wins + 3 draws = 68 points
Aston Villa ....... Chelsea(a), Bolton(a), Everton(h), Portsmouth(a), Birmingham(h), Man City(a), Blackburn(h) and Hull(a)= 51 + 5 wins + 2 draws = 68 points
Liverpool....... Sunderland(h), Birmingham(a), Fulham(h), West Ham(h), Burnley(a), Chelsea(h), Hull (a) = 51 + 5 wins + 1 draw = 67 points

The way i see it, spurs will drop 11 points, we'll drop 9, Villa will drop 7 and Liverpool just 5. Of course that means us and spurs have a lot of scope for scraping some extra points.

My thoughts are you need to get a grip.

I was watching the city game on a stream last night with spuds game on the tv. I found myself watching both games, and made interesting comparisons. Basically, spuds are so much more creative than us, but they are also fragile at the back at times. Just my opinion, but I think they are in a far better place than us at the moment.

By saying morale and confidence has sunk to an all-time low I meant that I saw the fans expressing anger and moaning throughout the game and really getting on their back, the ones that weren't were slumped down in their seats not looking best pleased, either really upset or full of anger at the performance and perhaps more significantly the result.

When their second went in the thing that shocked me most was Vieira. His body language was terrible. Given that he is meant to be this big great leader, his shoulder slumped and his head went down and he done nothing to gee up his teammates and install belief in the team. There was no belief that they could get a goal back and then put them under intense pressure to get the equaliser. It's not neccesarily a criticism, it's an observation and it shocked me really. I thought he was bought in for his mentality and that was how he reacted.

Those who think we can outsmart Tottenham are a tad optimistic. They have everything a top side should have. Solid back four (and I mean 4 not just the central pair), a creative midfield and a handful of in form strikers (Keanes coming back soon). The more I think about the more I'm certain well get turned over which depresses me no end. The rags have to too much at stake to take the foot off the gas so no joy there. However we should win again against Burnley, Wigan and Birmingham but that will never be enough to get 4th.

To be fair, I didn't see the game so I can't really comment. But I do think its probably more a case of "typical city".

We lose to Stoke in the FA cup and decide we are the worst team in the Prem

We beat Chelsea and are on an all time high thinking 4th in the bag, can we sneak 3rd

We draw at Sunderland and we think we're shit again

Win at Fulham and 4th's a done deal again

Lose last night and it's "an all time low".

The players were probably nothing more, nothing less than completely pissed off at losing a game.

We've just lost our last game of the season.

We will beat Tottenham. We will beat United. We will beat Villa.

You can quote me after the West Ham game, we're going to the Champions League.

Those that think we can't aren't pessimistic. After 30 matches with their quality we are only 2 points behind and they have a harder draw than us. They're copping injuries at the wrong time and we can beat them at home.

I'm more worried about Villa and Liverpool than Spurs.

i hope it comes down to the spuds game at home if we can go into that game with a point lead then i'm sure eastlands will be bouncing like the hamburg game at home and the fans will drag us over the line 9 points out of the next 3 game are important 1 thing for sure city are gonna put us through every emotion going in the last 8 games of the season you could put your last penny on it!!!!

"...how crap we were last night..."

Are you having a laugh?

Or is this yet another one of your traditional knee-jerk moments that you have become famous for?

We have to win the next 3 matches. Then comes Tottenhams 3 games against the top 3 and away at Sunderland. We haven't blown it yet but we can't afford to lose any of the next 3.

We could lose to the Scum and Arsenal and still get 4th if we beat Villa and Spurs..

Adebayor could be crucial for us.

Keep the faith.
