Not sure there has ever been a season with so many brilliant performances, particularly against some of the higher ranked teams. The main ones for me are -

Madrid home
Bayern home
Arsenal home and away
united home
liverpool home
Spurs home second half

Interesting mainly at the stadium where the media like to think there is no atmosphere, which is utter bollocks and proved by those absolute hammerings above.

What has also been fantastic about our mentality has been our ability to recover within and after games with dodgy decisions in them such as -

liverpool away disallowed goal
united away clearly offside equaliser
arsenal away dodgy pen to make it one all
arsenal home pen not given at nil nil

We have generally been superb this season within and between matches. We are the true mentality monsters as well as the worlds best football team.

Pep, thank you so much

I also think the fans have been excellent this season, away and home

First half against the rags was similar to the Madrid game in terms of attacking performance, but the control towards the end of the game wasn’t great, mainly because we stepped off it & probably made too many subs, when they read the teams out people feared the worst with who was missing, I even remember some saying their bench was really strong too, a lot stronger than ours, but the truly great performances where the ones that lasted 90 minutes, Rags BM Madrid & Arsenal

Agree with your choices. At times City have played some of the best football we have ever witnessed this season.

Incredible to think of the players we moved on (Zinch, Jesus, Raheem, Cancelo), turned a huge profit on transfers, brought in the best striker on the planet, a World Cup winner and a top notch defender. Yet still people say we spend the most - we absolutely don’t, we buy better than anyone and then Pep improves the fuck out of them and fits them into the system (system doesn’t do it justice). Wonderful and widely under appreciated outside of our wonderful club

Second half with 10 men against a good Fulham side, coming back from a goal down to win it late. Fantastic commitment from whole team that afternoon.
We were winning against Fulham with an early Alvarez goal, ended 2-1.

Agree with most of those.

United at home was our best performance before the World Cup. That first half was breathtaking and possibly one of the best 45 minutes of Pep's tenure. The only caveat is their players were probably still adjusting to Ten Hag's methods but that doesn't take anything away from our performance. My only regret from that game is that we eased up in the second half and missed the opportunity to score 10 against a United team managed by a man whose surname literally has the word ten in it. That would've become part of City folklore had we done it.

Liverpool at home was our most resounding win against Klopp's Liverpool and I include the 5-0 and the 4-1 at Anfield as those are a bit easier to explain. In the former they played with 10 men for most of the game and in the latter there was no home crowd and they were decimated by injuries that year. This season though we completely outplayed them and we did it without Haaland.

Arsenal away was a very important win but I thought it was quite an even game until we made it 2-1. Arsenal at home was when we really showed the gulf in class between the two teams and was probably when they realised they were the second best team in the league and that we would inevitably catch them. 4-1 flattered them.

Bayern at home was one of our best performances in the Champions League, especially the second half. Despite the scoreline, I actually thought they were very good that day and are probably the best team we've faced all season which makes the comprehensive nature of the victory even more impressive.

Madrid at home was the best performance of the season for me. I don't think I've ever seen that level of domination from an English side against that level of opposition before.

Hopefully we've still got two more of these kind of performances in us.

The home league win over Arsenal undoubtedly confirmed our brilliance, Pep’s tactical creativity, and destroyed Arsenal’s self belief. Champions right there.

I actually said to the lad the other day, no matter what happens between now & June the 11th we have been royally entertained
