Extra torrent and Kickass Torrents seem to have had their websites blocked by the government again, anyone know if they have set up new links?

Thanks for the links. Virgin Media appear to be throttling me (down to 200-300 kB/s). To be fair, I only pay them £130 a month and last night they allowed me to watch the Masters on Standard Definition tv.

would a VPN stop this - can anyone recommend a good one for the uk?

Try the Tor browser and access anything, even Piratebay.

Lapping this up like a thirsty dog !
Noticed my Pirate Bay stopped working this morning and last week my Kick Ass proxy got zapped too so thanks !

Im on Virgin media and not noticed anysignificant throttling - I got a 4mbs speed last week.
Thinking about it though speeds of 400kbs have been more usual recently :/

Edit: Im trying Tor but the set up asks if my internet connection is clear of obsticles or is it censored, filtered or proxied?

I'm on a VM connected home network, but obviously VM block the torrent sites so which do I choose?

It also advises:

Don't torrent over Tor
Torrent file-sharing applications have been observed to ignore proxy settings and make direct connections even when they are told to use Tor. Even if your torrent application connects only through Tor, you will often send out your real IP address in the tracker GET request, because that's how torrents work. Not only do you deanonymize your torrent traffic and your other simultaneous Tor web traffic this way, you also slow down the entire Tor network for everyone else.

^ so how am I supposed to remain annonymous then through tor or any other browser? Im confused :/
