He's lost at least a yard of pace which was vital to the way he plays. He's a spent force.
denk82 said:Seriously why are people considering this? He is not worth 20m I dont think right now.

To be fair, last time Heskey scored 4 goals it took him 28 appearances or his entire season to that in 2007-08. whilst Torres is on 4 in 13, not the worst ratio in the world, just under 1 in 3, but of course no where near the level of his wages or transfer fee should get you from a striker.

You have to be kidding! This would be a disastrous move - the guy is hopeless. I was so worried about this 'story' I forced myself out of bed to get to this site. It must be a joke surely? If hes not good enough for Chelsea - why are we interested?
THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN!
Why oh why are we still talking about strikers when what we NEED is a CB??????????????????????????

As I said - utterly hopeless - he wouldn't have scored against us if we'd played until christmas.
No need for the tin hat mate your spot onthe blue panther said:ANY1aBLUE said:blue underpants said:Go back to bed mate, it wont happen, bet he scores against us today though

Tin hat on but, being honest here, I didn't think he was any worse than our useless forwards on Sunday. They weren't up against as good a defence; couldn't control the ball, stay on their feet;give a decent pass; dribble; nor take the simplest of chances (Aguero header in 1st half) when it came.
Maybe whatever Torres has got is infectious.

Just checked back - thank god for that - I'll take the hat off now!
