That selection and performance had to be planned - no way could Pochetino thought that team could put in a performance against Dortmund.

The PL is obviously the priority and Europa a distraction that they don't need.

Dortmund did however look good, and the Dippers ( or highly unlikely the Rags ) will seriously get found out if they play them .

No Lucas or Milner last nigh and they still battered Van Gaals banals.
BD however are a different kettle of fish. Be worth a watch if only for those great "European nights at Anfield" (c). As a riposte I would say 85K at the Westfallon would be better.(pity its reduced for European games)
 
Poor from Spurs I thought. 3400 make the trip and they play a weakened team. He must be confident of being able to win the league when all would be forgiven if they did.
 
I think Spurs are the best team in the EPL moving forward. Obviously, with new managers for both Manchester clubs coming in it is uncertain, however, the Spurs team has a good mix of veteran talents paired up with young players in Kane, Ali, lamela, erickson, son and dier. No one is too old and most are in their peaks or getting there.

If the Spurs can manage to get a backup striker for Kane and backup CBs, they will be in good position. Another CM would be a good signing as well.
 
1963 thought they had laid that one to rest but today was a shocking performance, don't think anyone saw that coming. This could be their one and only chance to finish top two and above gunners just like the dippers it should have been their year

They have had their best season for years,smashing teams,plaudits all around and yet they STILL finished behind a below par Arsenal and today got smashed against TEN man Newcastle" Of course they are shattered after falling flat in the title race [ Which I thought they had won at our place lol!] but they have to be careful where they go from here. They might not recover well and everyone will strengthen.
 
I've read somewhere today - Spurs are the only club that could finish third in two horse title race, lol
 
Brilliant season, shite end, typical Spurs. Not surprised we lost but I was by the margin. The future looks good either way. I'm still scratching my head how Leicester won the whole thing, I thought me witnessing Greece win the Euros was a one off in my lifetime
 
I've just watched parts of their game against the barcodes.

In injury time the commentator said that Newcastle has done the double over Spurs WHO HAD BEEN IN THE TOP TWO ALL SEASON - dickhead.

Newcastle's third goal came from a penalty that never was (it was an Ashley Young dive) - bit of payback from the one that Twattenberg gave the Spuds at our place.

And the final comment from the commentator - how can a team that poor be in the top four?
