Tournemant in Hannover?

Hi,

Just sat in Mc D's at Hannover Airport (waiting for the wife to come back from blighty), in Germany and in comes a load of around 10 year old kids with 2 adults kids wearing the same city gear black jogging pants with white city top and the adults with black city top and bottoms

Is there or has there been a some kind of youth tournement on here?

At a guess, yes..The ADO DEN HAAG youth tournament?

If it`s in Den Haag then it is a long way away from Hannover.

Just asked yep there was a 10 year old tournament on here in sunny Hannover.

Must be flying back to Manchester with the Flybe flight.

If it`s in Den Haag then it is a long way away from Hannover.

They got lost at Amsterdam and took the wrong direction at Enschede perhaps?
But anyway, what else than a youth tournament could it be?

Yep there was a tournament in Hannover.

It's was the city u9/10s. ( age groups differ in europe). We were by far the youngest team in there. Ie. All but 4 player born after September.

In the End the lads did great, They finished 5th above the likes of Seville and Valencia. Very unlucky not to be in the final only a dodgy goal conceded away from playing Milan who won it.

Refs were a joke ( heard rumours of a agenda). Proper european refs blowing up for the slightest touch so the boys did well to adjust their game a bit.

All the boys represent city superbly and did some great PR. They go quite a bit of support from the other teams, Seville parents were mental with drums etc.. Unlike us city lot with the odd come on city while nursing hangovers from the night before.

Well done lads.


On another sad note.. Some of those pesky Europeans don't half know how to dive even at 10

Slightly off topic but to the OP......are you a blue living in Hannover? Only ask cos I spend quite a bit of time over there with work and had to watch a few matches out there (Jack The Rippers invariably) if there is a blue contingent in Saxony it would be good to know....cheers!

yes, its been the youth tounaments in germany from last week.....city have a team, i know a few dads with lads in the team who are out there at the moment
