Toyota GT86 Great car!!

Is that you driving? Looks like good fun.

I'm sure the GT86 is a good track car but it just seems a bit slow off the mark when you compare to other quick cars.

A car that cannot do over 100mph on the international circuit at Donny is not a good track/sports car.

Mate, its truly a great car. It a 2.0 and 200 bhp and don't forget I'm driving a auto, the manual was getting over 100 mph easy. Donington is a small track. I was going round in 1:34, touring cars do it in 1:11 which are super cars.

When I mean sports car, i mean its a car for the everyday person. Its affordable to joe average, starting at £25k for a rear wheel sports car is hard to find.

balls to that...a 123d m-sport coupe would slap that and its a diesel

A standard BMW 123d m-sport costs £28495 thats £3500 more and its 204 bhp so it would not slap it at all, diesels have a turbo this doesn't. around a circuit the GT would beat it. Don't think that as its a diesel it should be slower than a petrol as its not the case anymore. anyhow the GT looks better swell. :)

not a chance the gt86 would beat it round a track mate....the m-sport set up is just about the best track day set up....ask most racing drivers and they will testify that a m-sport set up car will out handle just about anything on a track in the same power class.

if you want to get techy, i accept that the turbo adds a little more grunt, but the gt86 puts out 200+ emissions and only 200bhp with a laughable economy of 35mpg...the 123d puts out 218bhp, 135 emissions and 45mpg....so there goes your 3grand difference straight away...think of the fuel savings, tax savings, mine is £65 a year tax, i drive it like jason plato and i still cant get below 45mpg....and i can fit 2 adults in the back in comfortable bucket seats and knowing toyota, the back seats are a joke in that

the staggered offset alloys option is amazing, gives massive amounts of rear camber and amazing grip, corners at ridiculous speeds

i'd put mine up against the gt86 on any track, embarrassing to get slapped by a diesel though

btw that piccie you put up is the m1, not the m-sport....the m-sport looks a lot better with a lower and better profiled front scoop and fog lights.

you cant make it out on mine, but the side profile & aggressive stance is awesome
