Thankfully no serious injuries and everything has functions as normal. Today press of all shades are praising the crew for their actions. I wonder how long it will be before the usual outlets go back to banging on about drivers salries?

Was this gobbledegook written by AI?

"everything has functions as normal".
"Today press of all shades".
"drivers salries?".

Either AI or a very intelligent driver.
Actually someone who doesnt have a grasp of the english language - should have read
"everything has functioned as normal".
"Today press of all shades both left and right leaning factions of the press".
"drivers salaries?".

Wasn't hard was it? I didn't realise how stupid/nitpicky (delete as appropriate) some members of this forum are...

Very lucky it wasn't any worse.
yep - if a train had been coming the other way and hit this derailed train this would have been off the scale - this was what caused the seriousness/consequences of that rail accident where a few years ago the chap drove his land rover off the M62 over the ECML near Selby - the train derailed by the land rover, hit another one coming the other way!

It's the biggest fear I have working trains.

It's drilled into us preparing for one and what to do if it it occurs on a yearly basis.

It's all about standards. Posting whilst drunk is all well and good but if it leads to that sort of behaviour then it needs to be monitored.

I know he can do better.
