Ok here goes
Training today involved a lot of running and hard stamina drills.
All the squad were out and a few more of the academy lads were invovled, Vlad, Vidal, Ben Mee, McGivern etc.
No Robinho, Elano, Onuoha, Richards and RSC who was inside working on his core fitness, the session then involved a small sided match in two groups, all the players looking lively, eager and strong for this time of year in my view, the pitch wasn't the best as it was a little too firm, they then went onto a full sized 11 a side game which involved most of the squad.
Michael Johnson looked as good as i've seen him in many months and TBH seems to have come back with a different attitude, Javan Vidal looked really good today, Craig Bellamy very lean and bloody quick, still giving rollockings keeping everyone on their toes.
Shay Given was back today and his No.2 Stuart Taylor impressed me with his talking on the pitch, looks like he could be a good addition.
Mark Bowen came over and had a chat about the incoming players, really chuffed with how the market is going and seemed to be farily confident in further additions, no names, the usual drill just the odd hint.
Funny little story though MB did say he was having a laugh with Stephen Ireland about the club looking for a new attacking midfielder, with a little wry smile Superman did comment on how the season can't start soon enough for him and how excitied he is on the future prospects.
