Give it plenty of time all.
Customers travelling from Bury will need to catch a tram to Crumpsall then catch a connecting bus service to Piccadilly station and join the Ashton or Velopark service to the Etihad Campus stop.

Customers travelling from Rochdale to Central Park can catch a connecting bus service to Piccadilly station and join the Ashton or Velopark service to the  Etihad Campus stop.
(Park and Ride facilities are available at Rochdale Train station, Hollinwood, Oldham Town Centre,  Shaw and Crompton and Derker)

Customers travelling from Ashton will need to catch the Eccles service and alight at the Etihad Campus stop.
(Park and Ride facilities are available at Ashton West and Ashton Moss)

After the match

No trams will run to Victoria station on this day. City centre bound trams will be extremely busy as thousands of people travel back into Manchester.

We’ve increased capacity on these lines but we ask for your patience as we try to clear the crowds swiftly and safely.

There are also reduced services at Holt Town and Velopark Metrolink stops.

According to the radio this is due to work being done at Victoria which is due to last around 9 months.
Metrolink - when piss-ups in breweries are beyond your capabilities.

It's actually a piece of half-decent planning for once, the Metrolink work for the additional City centre line and Network Rail improvements to the station are being done more or less side by side.

We got on the tram from victoria on tuesday and when I went to check the tram times for tomorrow there was a notice on the site saying that victoria is down for ages and already has been for a while. Can anyone elaborate? Or at least let me know if trams r running from shudehill to the ground? I wanna watch the chelsea game in the nq/printworks then jump on a tram to the ground

The Metrolink is shit.

The trams from town on a match day are overcrowded to a dangerous level and what the hell was happening after the Barca game is anybodies guess.

They have spent years on the junction near Tesco's at Baguley for the new line to to airport and it is still not finished. Who in their right minds would trust them to get you to the airport on time to catch your flight.

The people running the system are incompetent!
