With Pep Guardiola set to take over in the summer, his time at Manchester City could start under a transfer ban as the club are being investigated regarding a deal for a player under the age of 18.

The player in question, Maltese youngster Myles Beerman, officially joined the Citizens in 2014 when he was 15.

However according to FIFA’s disciplinary committee, Beerman joined City two years prior from Floriana FC in Malta at only 13 years of age, under the legal transfer age.

I was wondering when we'd get accused of this. I'd imagine we do generally the same as Barca so if they got banned then ....

Better get signing soon just in case.

If we just promise to sign injured players do you think they'll let us off?

If there is anything to this then we will get a transfer ban. But with appeals and feet dragging we will get the summer window. We will need to accelerate the clear out and make more signings than planned in a single window.

If we get into the murky world of brown envelopes and all the stuff FIFA like then I don't see a problem. But just to keep it all above board, get the signings done before the ban, or appeal the ban and let the lawyers overturn it!
I'd be surprised if there's much in it tbh. Let's face it, our esteemed media in this country would be all over the story like a tramp on chips if there was anything to report.
