Right, i am not saying it is completely true, but a close friend who told me about the Robinho transfer before it was even broke on Sky Sports News has text me with this information:

1) Joleon Lescott will not sign for us, the Chairman believes that it isn't a big enough signing for a club of our size, he has pledged to Hughesy that he will give him how ever much he wants for us to go and sign a top Centre Back, e.g. Ferdinand, Terry etc.

2) Our next 'big' signing will be Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o, he is unhappy there as Barca are trying there utmost to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic who they believe can carry them to the next step.

3) One more thing, a deal that could possibly be in the pipeline is with Arsenal for Cesc Fabregas, this will be around £20m with Micah Richards going the other way, reason for this is that Arsenal's transfer involving Ajax's Thomas Vermaelen has broken down and Wenger see's Richards as a good replacement to him, they are both strong, quick and very athletic players.

Just passing on info so don't shoot the messenger!

Come on City!

The first two I could see being true, but Wenger would be an idiot to deal Fabregas for Richards even with cash. But interesting nonetheless.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? They just did the treble FFS!
Was thinking that myself to be perfectly honest, but Eto'o has always stated his desire to leave the club and has never really got on with the Barca management team and the Presidents there, one big factor in him wanting to leave is the racist chanting he receives and he see's England and the Premier League as the place to be for his own sake and his families.
