It is well known that our dearly belod neighbours have little money to splash in the transfer market but in the last few days they have been heavily linked with Gaitan, Hazard, Van Persie, Baines, Kagawa, Vertonghen, oh and some 18 year old from Crewe. Are all these 'exclusive' rumours a way that the rags tell the world and their gullible fans that their empire isn't crumbling and they have plenty of monye but when they don't sign for them there is no value in the market? Is it also a message to good old Wayen that his club is ambitious really but nasty old City pay better? Or is it that the lazy journos are playing a game of transfer bingo, print as many rumours as possible and eventually they can claim they broke the news first when a transfer actually happens

More probable is the possibility Hazard's agent lets journo's know that XXXX team is interested in his player which then drives up the price.

if nobody was interested in Hazard except us, his transfer/salary demands would be alot less.

The journo's are just as gullible as the fans, yet they get paid to sell the story.

This applies to most of the players linked with multiple clubs.

The past few years have been the same. Big name players either don't want to go there, or it's just soundbites to keep the season tickets selling. Should be another interesting summer to see who they don't sign, again.
