Once he called out his players in public, and singling one out in particular, his card was marked. You'd have to have a Mourinho/Guardiola/Klopp/Ferguson type managerial record to possibly get away with a trick like that. Chuck in the fact that he didn't get a win in his 6 games in charge (D3, L3), and I'm guessing he'll find it hard to get an equivalent gig in the near future.
