It's weird that she was very much put up as almost a 'co-President' during the campaign but seems to have disappeared into the background since.

But I'm not in the US, maybe she is a lot more visible domestically.

I thought she came across as a future president in the campaign.

From the, admittedly, little I've seen of her since Biden became president she comes across as out of her depth.

I think there is a whole lot more to be revealed about the origins of Trump as a 'serious' political candidate, and I think Russia features very heavily in that part of the story.

In terms of his private life, being nominated by the GOP and subsequently elected in 2016 was the WORST thing that could have happened to Trump as it opened him up to levels of scrutiny beyond anything he'd ever experienced before. It exposed his whole empire as a disgustingly corrupt organisation, and the reputational damage to many who have been associated with him and his companies is wide reaching.

I hope he does go to prison. I won't hold my breath.

If there are strong connections to Russia and Russian influence, will it all come out though? The possible impact on the American psyche would be massive.

I thought she was very good, but just not the calming influence US politics needs. Although Biden does look and sound like he died some time ago he's the perfect post-trump president in terms of statesmanship and sanity.

She just seems to flounder these days when asked a question by the press.
I do agree about Biden though; even someone who looks and sounds dead is better than Trump. Safe pair of (normal sized) hands is what was needed.

I do worry that this is exactly what he wants.

The theatre, headlines and spin that he’s being persecuted will play well to his base and the more nutty end of the Republican Party. They’ll see it as a Democrat-led witch hunt.

I remember he was find trying to get bidens son arrested and hilarary for her emails but he doesnt like a witch hunt against him , he is a vile joke

Whether or not he actually wants to be cuffed, or if it's just bravado and theatre is another matter.

I’m aware of what he said. I don’t believe it’s what he’s saying to his kids for a second. For a start, he said it. That immediately lets you know it’s likely not remotely true.

Russia are VERY good at playing the long game. Assets are groomed over many years, and if the stories/rumours turn out to be true, then Russia have hit the jackpot.

There is absolutely no way the USA would EVER want that to be made public, and neither will Russia for that matter (as it would expose their methods and sources). Maybe there is a select group of individuals that know the truth, and possibly people from other nations may also be in that circle of trust, but that information will be fiercely protected.
