slightly related to this thread - just got off the 1940 from euston to piccadilly as i commute during rhe week. Had booked a seat in the quiet carriage as i needed to get some work done. Just before the train pulls out 11 utd fans get on - tshirts, tracksuits, the whole 'explosion in the megastore' look. Started making a racket straight away. I had a go at them - and i'm a pretty diminutive female - they looked a bit bemused & carried on. Bloke then stands up and tells them to keep quiet - again, very little impact. I complain to the guard - by this time they are passing round a big bottle of smirnoff - he comes to my carriage, makes them pick up all their stuff and spreads them out all down the train. Result! Funniest thing was, when he turfed them out i heard him say 'so where are you lot from anyway?' answer - slovenia! You couldn't make it up . I so hope we stuff them tomorrow - it will make the journey from hell almost worthwhile.
