Close the patio door for one, you are letting more heat in that letting out also buy black out curtains they will deflect heat all windows and doors should be left closed preferably

Buy a portable air con unit


Where are all the aussies on here and people living in the middle east and asia to give the best advice, as unlike us fannies in the uk with 4 weeks of high temps they have to live in it constantly so probably can advise best.

I lived in tropical countries for many years and the only way I could keep cool was with air con and a swimming pool. Not too bad here though and a fan suffices the majority of the time.

Lived in Oman for two years and found the best way to combat the heat was to have the air conditioning set to warmest setting I could then slept on top of the bed with maybe just a sheet. Found when I went outside I didn’t sweat anywhere near as much.

Next thing I learnt is do what the Arabs do, slow down and don’t rush.

Tossing and turning in bed only makes you warmer, cool shower before bed, lie on top, never have a problem slept like a baby.
