Ok the wife had planned for us to go to Egypt later this year but has now had a change of heart.We went to Turkey last year and loved it,but she'd like to try a different resort to Altinkum.

I'd be very grateful if anyone who has been, can give me any advice on other parts of Turkey, and any decent hotels.

Please help,because she's like a fucking pit bull with a bone once she starts looking for holidays,she's been on the go since this afternoon and old Scowy just wants somewhere booked!

been to turkey 4 times marmaris , icemeler , gumbet , and olu deniz and going to turgetries in 3 weeks

marmaris is the benidorm of turkey loads of bars and restraunts but wouldnt advise it

icemeler resort next to marmaris really nice place stayed at the marti all inclusive was one of the best all inckusives ive been on pint glasses waiter service etc

gumbet is really lively good for young couples but our hotel was shite

olu deniz is really nice its the place with the blue lagoon the resort is in a valley there are plenty of places to eat and drink and is really chilled would recommend this place hisaranu is a resort
next to it which has loads going on aswell

Sorry, but I've only been based out of Istanbul - and I'm not sure if that's your cup of tea (even if it's in one of those funny shaped cups with two lumps next to it)

- I did also catch a whiff of Cyprus though...

Thanks very much for all your advice lads.After much deliberation,we ended up going for oludeniz.It looks absoultely stunning and great place to both relax and explore other area's.Mrs S is happy now,so all our lives will be a lot better in the next few weeks.
