TV Series

Blocco 181, newest offering for the Italian crime genre, it’s a bit ‘meh’….

Have you watched the killing?
I remember years ago flicking through channels on TV and landed on this scads noir drama (before it was even a thing) and immediately taking to it.
Me and my ex then watched every single one and utterly loved it.
Went off piste for successive seasons but there were others like the Bridge (again, dipped in quality for me when Saga's sidekick Martin left for sunnier climes.
Loved Borgen too but after a while the BBC was awash withs these Scandinavian dramas and many were soulless past the beautiful interiors and architecture.
Also enjoyed the Walllanders (and there were confusingly a few knocking around....even Branagh's version was enjoyable).

Apols.....long answer!

Really enjoyed Umbrella Academy but slightly disappointed at the end. Really good 9.75 episodes and 0.25 at the end that just peeved me off a bit.

Seen plenty of chatter on here about Stranger Things so have decided to see what the fuss is about. Currently a few episodes into S1 and liking it so far.

Well I’m all caught up and of course I love it. Every influence they have drawn from to make the show I absolutely loved as a kid, especially Stephen King. I binge read his stuff in my teens.

Blocco 181 very good especially if you enjoyed Gomorrah, half way through this trying to string it out.

The Offer, its am absolute must if you enjoyed The Godfather, gives a fantastic insight into how the film was made and especially about the character of Al Pacino the man. Two left to go here, really don't want to finish this one either.

Both high up there on my list of recommendations.
Whats it on?
