Finally watched Taboo with Tom Hardy and co. Great cast. Good series. The last episode went a bit A-Team. I hear the second series films in 2023, after a 6 year gap. Something to look forward to

Watched it when first was on the bbc can’t believe it was 6 years ago?! At the time thought it was good but not brilliant, I’d have to rewatch it to catch be the second season..

there were others like the Bridge (again, dipped in quality for me when Saga's sidekick Martin left for sunnier climes.

I think I cried when Saga Noren got re-united with her Porsche 911.

Didnt bother with s3 as just seemed to totally lose its way after s2. Felt like it had no idea where it was heading and amazed its made it to a 4th series.

For me it's the biggest letdown in TV, ever. Season 1 is absolutely amazing. The next 2 are fucking abysmal. Won't be watching the 4th

I’ve rewatched season 1 and 2 have to say it’s much much better after a second watch I’ll be watching season 3 later

God I'm enjoying the Leftovers (and the first season is supposedly the weakest).
Seems to have a bit of all the best TV in one and then some more.

Damon Lindelof the creator (no relation to Tyler) was also being the Watchmen which I also thought was incredible, brilliant and unusual.

Was going to say something along those lines yesterday. Personally I found it quite gruelling, tough stuff. But it had quite an effect on me.

Yeah I can see why.
It's quite rare for television. There's some brilliant stuff out there but only a few that manage to really get under your skin and this is one of them (even though early days for me).

I've opened up to the fact there's little I can really control and instead best to surf the chaos of life and any meaning to our existence. I think this show explores that really well.

I loved The Leftovers, and the theme music too which changed each season. It's so messed up at times but is brilliant tv. I think after Lost, people were wary about how Lindelof was going to conclude the show but I think he did a pretty satisfying job here.

I’d read about the concept but dodged the watching of it - having heard your recommendations, and having read the reviews, I’ll give a go now. Thanks

Just finished We Own This City.

Cracking little show. Anyone into The Wire will enjoy it although it’s nowhere near as good.
