Master of None on Netflix is also a very clever and funny comedy series.
Yes - v good. Didn’t he get caught up in that #metoo movement though? Great show (2 seasons?)

I love Beverly and Barry so muchGoldbergs is just excellent. Anyone who was growing up in the 80s must watch it.

One of the most loveable cunts ever is our Saul.
Give me some Netflix series suggestions please blues.
I need a series to really get into now I've finished Tiger King and The English Game.

He did, and it got the show cancelled which is a massive shame.
The story didn't really add up to much in the end either IIRC.
Loved Breaking Bad, but have really struggled to get into Better Call Saul. Seems like I'm missing out.
Netflix The Power, great watchGive Goldbergs a watch on E4 - seven series 20 a series and only 25 mins long - hilarious.
Glad you like Maisel, it has been one of our viewing highlights of the last two years.

Today's episode was absolutely brilliant. I think it's surpassing all but the very best Breaking Bad episodes.
IMO Saul is inherently a much better character to build a series around than Walter White, because while it was incredibly gripping watching WW's descent...his character was always headed in 1 direction, almost from the end of the first season, and we just watched as the inevitable unfolded in slow motion.
Saul...even though we know where he ends up, I still after 5 seasons don't know how he gets there, and he's much more sympathetic.
I never actually finished the final season of Breaking Bad because it got to where I really didn't care about any of the characters. I didn't find them at all likeable or find their motivation by that point interesting enough to want to watch what happened to them anymore.
I find the toughest thing about watching Better Call Saul is simply the juxtaposition of an aging cast that is meant to predate Breaking Bad - you see Mike and you think, he looks like he's ready for a nursing home now whereas in the future he is younger in appearance. Same goes for Gus. There's a minimum of 7 year gap in timelines but at this age bracket, it feels like double
It's good and like in BB, the main character drives the series - Saul is brilliantly portrayed in all it's nuances from episode to episode by Odenkirk
It's great to get the back story on Saul (esp. with his brother & law firm) & some of Mike & Gus but overall BB still a more compelling series simply because there are more elements in constant motion. In Better Call Saul, you are left with less to work with in very defined parameters - the writers do great with it but the path is fairly well laid out in contrast. Enjoyable but suspense is muted since you know what lies ahead
I
I loved Breaking Bad but Season 5 was awful. Felt a completely different production team had taken over the reins (or they’d given power to the cast). It actually soured my whole experience of BB for a few years.
Watched first episode of Saul some time ago then left it. Watched the second one last night and immediately got it. Think I’m going to really enjoy this now.
