Just finished episode 7 and 8. Back to its best despite lil Monk.I think they loosely based the Lil Monk character on the Irish gangster Gerry the Monk Hutch. Well how he looks at least. If you Google him you will know what I mean!

Brilliant. Great performances, 'Big' the police officer is a standout character as is Willie Jack and the Spirit Indian. All native cast, really well observed and learn so much about native culture on the reservation. Loved it.

It won’t please everyone but to churn that out with the global landscape the way it is, I thought it was brilliant… I get a few noting repetition but that’s been the arc of the story since the beginning…. Be interested to see your thought when complete!

Started watching American Rust (on Showtime) last night. So far so good. Good acting as usual by Jeff Daniels.
Finished Valley of tears (on HBO) the other day. Thought it was great. All about the Yom Kippur war in 1973.
