i'm not really here
bent down to pick something up and my back went as i describe' twang' ripped/pulled muscle, this happened on fri and no sign of it getting better, i can only hobble about but just spend most of the time on the bed where i'm most comfortable, how long am i going to be here like this any tips for reducing the pain
 
If you have pain down your legs or bum cheeks, could be you popped a disc.

that's all i need mate,,slight discomfort in right leg lower,, i need to work tomorrow but i know its not going to happen and if i cant get there i'm going to lose a lot of money as i'm self employed

Sorry to hear that Marco. I've had a popped disc, I tried to work through it and I finished up under the knife. My advice is get it checked as soon as possible, you may need an MRI to know for sure its your disc. If it's serious, working through it could make it worse. It also may be a good idea to go see a good accredited physio, they can work wonders (but not quickly or cheaply!) And keep away from chiropractors, they nearly destroyed me with my disc problem!
 
I hurt my back a few years ago, takes a good few weeks to recover, found ice/ frozen peas on the sore part help a bit, as did being lay flat. Doctor gave me strong tablets for the pain, made me feel bit light headed and sick, but took the edge off the back pain.

Do a Ranolph Fiens.
Go to your shed and remove the offending object yourself with an implement out of your tool box
