Why are people talking about depression as some kind of excuse. Hitting women is lower than low. The fan 'done' him and it was funny. Fair play for Collymore sorting himself out but its still ammo. People call Van Persie a rapist even though he was cleared, its ammo. Lighten up ffs.

Btw, it'd be interesting to hear from the people who make excuses if Ulrika was there daughter, I reckon they'd be on the other side of the coin. Hitting women, drink driving etc are all c##ts tricks, no matter what's going on in your head its inexcusable.

"Did you see the penalty? He hit it as hard as you hit Ulrika!". That's gold, enjoy it. The last time I heard anything as funny is when the radio host said c##t and then cleared his throat and went on some ramble with different pitches to try and cover it. Just sounded stupid and hilarious, he'd have been better off just saying sorry and moving on.

RVP was only cleared because he allegedly paid the woman off........... abuse of position, he is a good fit for manure with their history and that of their employees

Re: Stan Collymore on Talksport

that had me laughing - But it would be boring if all callers just rang to be a twat as it just so easy to do, similar to the wind up rags you have on here...

I like Collymore on Talksport - i don't know him personally and i know he has made mistakes in the past like everyone has.

I didn't know that, I find it hard to believe a woman who was raped would take money from a rapist also. Regardless of money its an awful act and a lifetime haunting.

Anyway, even if he wad innocent its still banter and ammo to use. Just like Rooneys affairs and haircut and Roy Keane being a dog wanker.

So that's it. Stan hit a woman 15 years ago and for the rest of his life he should be treated like shit. Shit, fucking murderers are let out of prison earlier when they've done their time.

I've never struck a woman in my life but have made monumental errors in my time. I've been forgiven.

You're kidding right?

I'm guessing you weren't at Notts County chanting 'murderer' to Lee Hughes or calling Rooney a granny shagger because its all in the past.

Lee Hughes didn't murder anyone. He was jailed for death by dangerous driving.

Listen to Collymore for 5 minutes and you'll hear he's on the side of the common man. He's from an equally average background as many of us and regularly champions ticket prices, facilities and whatever else is important to us. I enjoy his broadcasts and don't think he should be vilified for one unfortunate mistake which helped finish his career as a top striker.

Re: Stan Collymore on Talksport

Haha! Would have loved to have seen Collymore's face during that 3 second pause after he said it. Brilliant.

Pipe down Piffy. Do you not understand how football chants work? They don't have to be lawfully accurate to be funny.

'One unfortunate mistake'?
Punching, kicking and stamping on a woman in a Parisian bar?
Oh,and that was in 1998.
In 2007,he repeated the same 'unfortunate mistake' with his then wife Estelle Williams, who he gave a backhander to,before threatening to kill her and burn her parents house down.
He was arrested and bound over.
Clearly his anger management therapy after putting Ulrika in hospital paid dividends.
