Txiki Begiristain

"So he asked his pal to be manager at City and his pal said yes. That's what his greatest achievement comes down to?"

Txiki is a Pep's friend and that's why Txiki is in Man City.

And Txiki was a "sport director" in Barça just because Txiki was a guy hit it off Barça fans.

And that's because Txiki as a player was typical guy very discreet, catalan speaker without being catalan (if you emigrate to Catalonia and you speak catalan here people will want a child of yours), and all this rol fit the catalan philosophy, wich is very "goodist" and with a lot of "to feel morally superior" rol.

Then a guy Txiki, very discreet, formal and zero controversial was the perfect guy.

But he didn't decide anything in Barça 2008/12.

He just was a doll.

Txiki is not a guy who knows a lot discovers a lot bla bla.

Txiki is just a Pep's friend, and Estiarte, and Lillo...

Selling Zinchenko to Arsenal. Carry on at this rate helping out our rivals we might miss out on top four. Tin hat on.

I've always enjoyed the fact that Pep is so good he makes hiring him as Barca A manager the most obvious and easy decision that anyone would have done and not one of the bravest and boldest managerial decisions in modern football.

It’s a great point that. Yes appointing Pep at City was a no brainier but to appoint him at Barca was an incredibly brave move for his career personally. Shows the strength in his convictions.
